WHY LNG?
• Allows the use of natural gas in areas where the natural gas is not
delivered by a pipeline through the national transmission network
or an urban distribution system.
• When compared to fuel oil and LPG, it is a more economical energy
source.
• It is suitable for a variety of applications including process, steam
generation, heating, and cooking for customers in a variety of
industries including tourism, steel, paper, and ceramics.
• Because of its high energy value, the use of LNG minimizes the total
amount of fuel required.
• It expands 600 times when it is in the gas phase (1 unit of LNG =
600 units of natural gas).
• Large amounts of natural gas can be stored and transported under
low pressure.
• With minor changes, it can be used in all types of burner devices
suitable for conversion.
• As it is a clean fuel, it contributes to both reduction of maintenance
costs and improvement of product quality.
